Matrix Reports is a powerful tool for designing complicated statistical reports on your databases. Such reports are based on custom conditions for each row and column in a report and have constant number of rows and columns. Their cells contain aggregated (count or summary) values for both row and column conditions. This is like cross-tab reports, which also contain aggregated data values, but there are some differences between them. In Matrix Reports number of rows and columns does not vary depending on data. It gives more flexibility than cross-tabs because you can specify any complicated conditions for all rows and columns of your reports. Also you can place in some rows or columns summary values and in the others - count values. You can even calculate values in rows and columns as arithmetical expressions from other rows and columns. At last, you can retrieve data for a report from more than one database at once. Your databases are accessed with a number of data engines: OLE DB, BDE, or with the special dBase driver FoxProLayer, which gives a very fast access to dBase tables. After finishing a report, it can be exported into some of maintained formats: text file, XML file, HTML, Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.
